Sea Gladiator Mk.I Sub Lt J W Sleigh, 804 NAS,FAA 1940 1:72**Discontinued**
The rigging is very well done and is made using a very stiff wire. It can become 'unspooled' if you yank on the top wing- be careful ! The tail does not look 100% tight, but probably left the factory like this. This would have been the second Gladiator that Corgi issued.
* Corgi issued both Gladiators & Swordfish models fully rigged, but competitor CAROUSEL MODELS also issued three fully rigged Nieuport 17's at the same time. I am thinking that we had Carousel Nieuports in stock a smidge before the first Corgi Gladiators showed up ! Corgi may have announced them first, but Carousel beat them to the market....my humble & very fractured memory.....who really cares???
