1/72 Scale Avro Shackleton MR2. Airfix. Developed from the Lincoln bomber and sharing with it the DNA of the famous Lancaster, the British Avro Shackleton enjoyed a long career during the Cold War with the Royal Air Force (RAF), first as a maritime patrol aircraft and then as the RAF's primary Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft. Kit has engraved surface features, fully-appointed flight deck and cabin (including bulkheads, radios, navigational equipment, crew seats and pilot figures), transparent parts (canopy, windows and other glazings), detailed bomb bay and optional doors, 20mm Hispano Mark V cannons, bombs and torpedoes, detailed wheel wells and optional undercarriage, optional trailing edge flaps, single-piece propellers, optional main door and boarding ladder. Decals and markings for two (2) aircraft: No.224 Squadron, Royal Air Force North Front, Gibraltar, September 1967; and No.204 Squadron, Tengah Air Base (formerly Royal Air Force Tengah), Indonesia, January 1972. The kit comes with stencil data and instrument panel and other interior data.
