Product description

PEGASUS Cosmostrator rocket 1:350 [ 'Silent Star'-1960 movie ]

The name of the rocket in the movie was actually KOSMOKRATOR. This is the first plastic model kit of this subject [ I am actually surprised that TAMIYA has not issued it yet ! ] although a resin kit was issued by garage manufacturer LARSEN DESIGNS back in 2000. 'The Silent Star' [ Milczaca Gwiazda ] was based on a story by Stanislaw Lem, to which was added a good dose of East German propaganda to which Lem strongly objected. The movie is better known by it's English language issue- 'First Spaceship on Venus' and has been issued on DVD.

This is a simple looking kit with only 22 parts, but since they are made of ABS plastic it is recommended that you use glue suitable for such a material, as tube type glue may not work. You should be OK with TAMIYA EXTRA THIN, although reading the instructions may be useful as the manufacturer should be able to tell you what glue to use !
