Wellington GR Mk VIII 1:72 Scale Kit, New Tooling !!!
Simply superb all plastic kit of this classic airframe, complete with a fully packed interior ! It's too bad that much of it will not be seen once the fuselage is assembled. An absolute tour-de-force, the only criticism of note I have seen is minor: that the bomb bay roof requires a skin of fabric, missing on the kit, for total accuracy.This can be replicated from sheet plastic without much fuss. AIRFIX sets the benchmark for best Wellington kit in 1:72 scale with this issue [ & the MK1 issued last year], although Trumpeter's family of Welly's are still worthy. There is nothing wrong with the MPM kits I should say, but being short-run style kits are more complex to build [ The Italeri & Revell issues are re-boxings of MPM's kit ].For ease of build & level of detail, Airfix takes the cake ! A killer !!!
