The de Havilland Tiger Moth must rank amongst the most well-known aircraft of all time, with 8, 868 built in the UK and abroad, serving with around 40 air arms worldwide and training thousands of pilots from the 1930s throughout WW2 to the early 1970s, when the last of the Fleet Air Arm Tiger Moths was retired. A concise history of the type is included, in some cases including international operators.
Aircraft titles range from World War I to the post war period, and include the majority of RAF and Fleet Air Arm aircraft, but also feature many USAAF, USAF, US Navy and Luftwaffe machines.
