2001 issue, discontinued. 2500 pieces were made. Mint model from a collection in like new box, complete with plastic stand which is turning yellow from age. Beautiful model- Starjets made the best 1:500 scale models & gave Herpa a serious headache !! Herpa was forced to update their molds & get rid of the clunky landing gear that they were still using at this time.Â
Most Starjets models came with plastic stands & some plastic parts. Unfortunately, many of these parts are now turning yellow with age. This process can not be stopped, it will continue to happen. Herpa models are arguably most affected by 'plastic aging', but Dragon has somehow escaped this process. I have yet to see a Dragon model that has turned yellow to the degree of Herpa or Starjets !
