2018 issue, discontinued. First edition with well publicized 'short shot' on tail [very minor]. All plastic kit with decals for two aircraft. This copy contains a complete replacement fuselage sprue to replace the defective sprue. All parts remain internally sealed.

The 'short shot' debacle is well documented on many modeling forums. Tempest in a teapot. Airfix was forced to replace a number of fuselage sprues when the news broke that some of these sprues had left the factory with parts not fully formed. This kit has a minor defect on the original tail fin that can be easily fixed with a dab of putty. You now get two fuselage sprues in this kit, courtesy of Airfix.

Some Sea Fury kits had short shots on other parts too, such as the fuel tanks, but I cannot see any such defects on this copy.
