Schabak Worldways set 1:600**Collection sale
Scarce Schabak Worldways set from the late 1990's ? We have two sets available, both with their original boxes [showing light storage wear]. Hard to find- first sets we have seen for 25+ years !!
This set includes a L1011, DC8 & Convair 440
Schabak was a pre-cursor to Herpa models & arguably kick-started the hobby that we are currently enjoying. None of their models were limited issues, but they were cheap & disposable and their attrition rates were high. Schabak issued several hundred models in their lifetime & some can be very hard to find nowadays ! All of these Worldways models were issued individually [ as far as I can ascertain ] before they were put into this set. A very hard set to find, we have two currently available & these are the first two that we have seen for at least 25 years !
Schabak models are very crude by today's standards, thus you can not expect perfection. Although they were painted, some of their markings were applied as decals & can look very sloppy ! These two sets are as good as it gets for a 30+ year old Schabak model !!
