Percival P.10 Vega Gull Military 1:48

Built by Percival Aircraft of Gravesend and Luton (after 1936 when Percival Aircraft became a Limited Company), the 'K-Series' Vega Gull was a development of their earlier 'D-Series' Gull. The main changes from the earlier design were the provision of an additional fourth seat, dual controls and flaps. The fuselage was widened and the wingspan increased. Increases in drag were compensated for by reducing parasitic drag from exterior fittings such as hinges and actuation horns. This work was largely attributable to the arrival at Percivals of the talented aircraft designer Arthur Bage. Thus, the Vega Gull was very nearly as fast as the more svelte Gull Six.

The aircraft was powered by a de Havilland Gipsy Six engine. As well as civilian operators the Air Ministry ordered 15 Aircraft. 11 were used by 24 Sqn RAF, 2 by the FAA, and 3 by British Air Attaches. At the outbreak of WWII many civilian aircraft were impressed into service in Britain and the Commonwealth. 

A lovely 'short run' style kit [meaning that the plastic parts may need some trimming or sanding to fit], all plastic with one small sheet of etch. This is a great kit to start with if you're looking to attempt such a build for the first time. John Adams [ of Aeroclub fame ] has had a hand in the production of this kit, thus you can be assured of it's quality.The kit comes with four decal options:

3. P10 Requisitioned by the Belgian Government 1939
4. N7571 Requisitioned by the Royal New Zealand Air Force 1944
