The PBY-5A was extensively used by the RCAF during WW2 and that is why this kit is so much in demand. Canada built many of these aircraft under license from PBY at two plants, Boeing Aircraft of Canada in Vancouver & Canadian Vickers in Cartierville. Although they were known as 'Canso A' in RCAF service, they were equivalent to the PBY-5A with it's retractable gear. This kit gives you decals for only one aircraft, the US Navy 'Black Cat' that appears on the box top, thus RCAF decals will have to be found on the aftermarket.
