Octavi has fourteen LED backlit buttons to display the current state of the device and the plane's autopilot. The Octavi IFR pad is a plug-and-play USB device that requires no driver installation. Plug it in, install the plugin for your flight simulator and take off! Octavi supports X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020&2024). Octavi lets you use your flight simulator for serious IFR flying and training at home without needing to spend thousands on hardware. It takes up virtually no space on your desk. Octavi lets you control the radios, VOR receivers, the FMS devices, the autopilot and the transponder from just one device. The way this works is through a set of context buttons that let you select the instrument that you need to manipulate. The selected button is then highlighted to indicate the activated instrument. ​ In each mode, the main function of the dual-axis rotary knob is controlling frequencies, transponder codes and autopilot variables. As an extra, "shift" functions are available for each mode - this enables you to control headings, courses, the altimeter QNH and the transponder mode from Octavi, too.
