CUSTOM MADE model from a collection using an Aeroclassics L-188 Electra as a base. The model has been repainted to represent Canadian Airlines-Environment Canada/Ice Reconnaissance C-FNAY. Hand-made, not a commercially made model.
Beautifully hand-finished model, using model paint & decals. There is evidence of hand work on this model, but it does not detract. This is mentioned for accuracy, as there are several perfectionists 'out there' who dwell on such details.
This piece was made about 15-20 years ago when a model of this aircraft did not exist. Since then, Aeroclassics has indeed issued a model of C-FNAY in this livery, being released in 2021.
The red patch on top of the fuselage is meant to represent a radome that was on the real aircraft. When Aeroclassics issued their official model in 2021, they did not address this radome at all.
