Heavy paint application resulting in a slightly 'pebbly' finish. We are still seeing this happen nowadays with certain models [ such as the recent 1/200 JC Wings VC-10 Briitish Airways 'Red Tail']. Mentioned for accuracy- we don't want to set off the 'paint police' !! [Believe me- they're out there !!]
