F15C Eagle USAF 5th Fighter Interceptor Sqn 1:150 with stand
The F-15A is a tactical fighter of air superiority of all time, designed to win and maintain superiority in aerial combat. Designed by McDonnell Douglass (now Boeing) to replace the F-4 Phantom, the first test flight occurred on July 27, 1972 at Edwards AFB, CA. The F-15 entered service in 1976. With its superior maneuverability, acceleration, range, weapons and state-of-the-art avionics, it is one of the most successful modern combatants with more than 100 victories and none Loss in air combat. The 318 Squadron fighter Green Dragons were based McChord AFB in Washington State. Established in 1942 during the Second World War and active until 1989, the Green Dragons established themselves as one of the first fighter squadrons of the US Air Force. In 1984, the squadron won the right to participate in the USF "William Tell" Weapons Meet, a contest for the best American and Canadian fighter squadrons. In 1984, they also won the Hughes Achievement Trophy Trophy, an annual award to the Air Force Fighter Squadron. . This model of die-cast metal airplane comes in 1: 150 ladder with plastic backing and is about 5 3/8 inches long with 3 7/8 inches wingspan.
