DHC Chipmunk T.10 1:48 NEW TOOL 2021
Although well served in 1/72 scale, the Chipmunk has only been kitted a couple times in 1/48 scale and these issues were aimed at modelers with a fair bit of experience. Aeroclub issued a lovely plastic, white metal & vac kit over twenty years ago & Heritage Aviation Models put out a fine all resin kit more recently. Now both discontinued, AIRFIX has come to our rescue by making this excellent subject available to all builders in a modern tool all plastic form, no doubt up to their usual fine standard. Naturally, we will be waiting to see if future issues of this kit will accommodate any of the RCAF flown aircraft with their distinctive 'bubble' canopies ! It is to drool.....
