Bell UH-1B/C Huey 1:18 [Ex-21st Century Toys]

Large all plastic kit with decals for two aircraft. Previously issued by 21st Century Toys as a fully painted snap-together type kit requiring minimal assembly. Those days are gone- now you gotta build it yourself!

Part of a large catalog of 1:18 scale aircraft  & vehicle models issued by 21st Century Toys about 20-25 years ago. These used to come fully painted & mostly assembled, with only a few parts remaining to be 'snapped' into place. 21st Century no longer exists, but their moulds are sitting in storage somewhere in the far east, gathering dust. Every once in a while, Hobby Boss excavates one of the moulds and re-issues it in model kit form- now you gots to build it & paint it yourself ! Several aircraft have been re-issued in this way, but I have not seen any of the tanks or AFV's re-appear. 

Large kit with 160 parts. A super-detailers delight !

These used to be painted & assembled by factory workers back in the day & sent out to Wal-Mart & Toys R' Us by the skid load ! Intended to be large toys, they were actually quite good as models. Serious modelers used to break these things down, super-detail them, paint them up properly & put them all back together again. The base mould is actually quite good for a toy, but with some added detail and TLC can make for a really nice model !

The original 21st Century Toys issues occasionally show up on ebay for hundreds or even THOUSANDS of dollars ! Yep, Ya gotta love ebay ! Good luck with those prices !
