B777-200 United 'Battleship' w/stand 1:400**Collection sale
1999 issue, discontinued. Mint model from a collection in near new box, complete with stand. Beautifully detailed model, but no registration number. Strangely enough, this model comes with 'gear up' parts.
The big puzzle are the gear up parts, as the landing gear looks to have been factory installed and cannot be removed ! Herpa is not known for giving us models with 'gear up' parts [as Dragon always did] so this becomes interesting. I have done some experimentation with this model and can remove the wheel section of the main gear, but not the leg itself ! Either the original owner carefully glued in the wheels, or they simply came that way from the factory. None of the usual websites have been of any help to confirm how this model was originally issued. In any case, I recommend that you leave the gear alone & not try to remove them before something breaks.
