Spitfire IIa 1:32 Kit
A really well molded & finely detailed rendering of the classic early war Spitfire & will be enjoyed by most enthusiasts looking for a pleasant and fun building experience. The kit looks, feels & smells like a Spitfire & will produce a satisfactory result for many casual builders. However, it must be said that the obsessed fraternity of modeling geeks [a.k.a 'anoraks'] has highlighted a number of glaring errors that has caused them much anxiety & loss of sleep over the last six years, requiring the teeming aftermarket to come to their rescue with dozens of corrected parts in resin & metal to soothe their troubled brows !!!
There is not a single kit out there that is known to be perfect. Even WINGNUT WINGS & ZOUKEI-MURA are known to have the occasional error or omission [ OMG!!!-HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE !!!! ]. It's true folks- some people go nuts when Wingnut Wings omits the lacing pattern on the tail fins of it's SE5a kit !!! Thankfully, most of us can get by with a slightly 'imperfect' kit & resist the urge to spend $200.00 or more to buy the necessary corrected parts from the aftermarket to improve their model. Enjoy your hobby, kids ! Do what YOU need to do to have fun with your models- don't let the geeks tell you what to do !
