The Bf109T-1 was a naval version of the Bf109, designed to operate off the aircraft carrier 'Graf Zeppelin' that the Germans had begun to build before the war. As the war progressed & Germany's military priorities changed, the Graf Zeppelin was shelved & never completed. All Bf109T-1's that were in production at the time of this decision were converted to T-2 configuration, which was a land-based version of the aircraft.  These Bf109T-2's were initially assigned to JG5 & JG77 defending Norway; a Bf109T-2 of JG77 takes credit for shooting down the first B17 of the war, a British aircraft sent to bomb targets in Norway.

An obscure subject & an absolute must for the serious Bf109 collector. This aircraft has not been kitted too many times in 1/48 scale injection-molded plastic- I am only aware of the Academy kit & an early offering by MPM from about 15 years ago [ which we also have in stock, mint condition-$49.95 ].
