B747-400 Boeing House Livery 30th Anniversary N401PW 1:200 Polished With Stand by InFlight
Celebrating the 30 years of the most successful 747, Inflight will be shipping a replica of N401PW.
April 29th 1988 saw the first flight of the Boeing 747-400 number: 23719 registration N401PW.
The 747-400 was a major development of the 747 series. It had many structural and electronics improvements over the earlier models which debuted 18 years earlier. New systems, such as a glass cockpit, flight management computers and new engines allowed it to be flown with a crew o just two pilots. The position of "Flight Engineer" then became unnecessary. The most visible features of the 400 series are its longer upper deck and the six-foot tall winglets at the end of each wing. These improved aerodynamic efficiency by limiting the formation of wing-tip vortices.
At the time of the first flight, Boeing had already received 100 orders for the new 747-400. It would become the most popular version, with 694 aircraft built by the time production came to an end on March 2007.
Established in 2001, Inflight200 is the first premium quality manufacturer of diecast 1:200 scale aircraft models.
