Serving with the Royal Air Force from the mid-1950s through the late 1960s, the Gloster Javelin was a twin-engined, all-weather interceptor. It did not, however, see any real combat experience and, with the introduction of the General Electric Lightning — which entered the RAF fleet just three years after the Javelin and had a top speed of more than twice its predecessor — the Javelin was slowly phased out of service.

This 1/72 scale, die cast model — a replica of the only surviving Gloster Javelin FAW 4, now housed at the Jet Age Museum in England — features that aircraft's signature camouflage paint scheme, engraved panel lines, a glazed canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, fixed landing gear, a prototypical T-tailed delta wing, authentic markings, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 9¼" with an 8¾" wingspan.
